Fifteen acres of dense thicket, sabal palms, marshes and lakes with a one-mile trail is provided for visitors to see migratory ducks, native birds,
wild parrots, and colorful warbles. The Audubon Center has been home to the rare blue mockingbird and raucous parrots roosting for the evening.
The Center is a model of how a city and a forest can coexist. The headquarters and gift shop offer guests information and memorabilia.
