BICULTURAL
MUSEUM
515 S. Kansas Ave.
Chartered in 1971, the Weslaco Bicultural Museum is located
across from the historic City Hall and Fire Station on South Kansas.
The museum commemorates Weslaco’s history.
Highlights include a tribute to Weslaco son Harlon H. Block.
Corporal Block, killed in action in 1945, was one of the famous
WWII figures that raised the American flag at Iwo Jima.
The museum has a number of area artifacts such as the telephone
switchboard used in the early 1900’s, an historic safe, and volumes
of photos from Weslaco’s early days.
